So the question today is more of a comment and a question, sometimes we get people who ask us, will vertical jump training also increase my quickness or my sprinting spree? Or we get some people like this guy, who commented on YouTube said, “I have noticed…blah blah”…basically saying, “the Jump Manual didn’t for me, help on quickness as well as my vertical leap”, it’s pretty long so I’m not going to read the whole thing, but I will post it in the comments.
So basically what this boils down to is when you work on your vertical leap, we have talked about what the prime movements are, and we have talked about your hamstrings, your glutes, your quads, your calves, your core, and your shoulders. And those are the same muscles that you use to be explosive out of the blocks and also to reach high speeds in sprinting.
Horizontal velocity is more based on your glutes and hamstrings than it is your quads, but maybe popping out of the hole, or popping out of the blocks, is go
