I think there is a better way than developing “feel” for lag putts. I
relate the length of the backstroke to the length of the putt. I also
include the rise or fall of the green and the grain effects. Once I know
what my backstroke length should be for the lag putt, I use the “tick-tock”
method (using a recording in my ear) to get the pendulum swing right. Works
great!
