Pure in line stroke for a face balance putter.
Face balanced is best suited for square to square path. Your hands did opposite of what you were trying to say. Lol.
I feel like the short game is all feel and practice. However it’s always good to absorb advice

Why ball back if you are trying to pop-it straight up? I thought on wedge shots, forward in the stance helps get it up. Is it because this is more of a lofted punch shot?

Face balanced for straight back and forward. I just bought the Spider mini. Love it. Given me heaps more confidence from short and mid range. Long range is still a work n progress..
A more arc stroke I would say
Personally, I find the best way to shave five strokes off my game is to skip the first Par 3 hole.
